A while back one of the guys in our golf group couldn’t make it, so another fellow joined us.<\/p>\n
Somewhere during the round the conversation turned to age.<\/p>\n
I don’t even remember how.<\/p>\n
When I told him I was 70, he literally dropped his golf club.<\/p>\n
“No way!”<\/p>\n
“I thought you were in your 50s.”<\/p>\n
I just laughed.\u00a0 So did the other 3 guys I was golfing with.<\/p>\n
The funny thing is…I’ve heard that more than a dozen times over the years.<\/p>\n
Now, am I really younger than my age?<\/p>\n
No.<\/p>\n
But I do think there’s a lesson in that story.<\/p>\n
People don’t see your birth certificate.<\/p>\n
They see your attitude.<\/p>\n
They see your curiosity.<\/p>\n
They see whether you’re still learning.<\/p>\n
When I started using AI, I didn’t say, “That’s for younger people.”<\/p>\n
I said, “Let’s see what this thing can do.”<\/p>\n
That’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made in years.<\/p>\n
Too many people decide they’re too old long before they actually are.<\/p>\n
Don’t do that to yourself.<\/p>\n
You might surprise yourself…<\/p>\n
…and somebody else might drop a golf club.<\/p>\n
Learn one new thing today about AI or your business.<\/p>\n
