He Dropped His Golf Club

A while back one of the guys in our golf group couldn’t make it, so another fellow joined us.

Somewhere during the round the conversation turned to age.

I don’t even remember how.

When I told him I was 70, he literally dropped his golf club.

“No way!”

“I thought you were in your 50s.”

I just laughed.  So did the other 3 guys I was golfing with.

The funny thing is…I’ve heard that more than a dozen times over the years.

Now, am I really younger than my age?

No.

But I do think there’s a lesson in that story.

People don’t see your birth certificate.

They see your attitude.

They see your curiosity.

They see whether you’re still learning.

When I started using AI, I didn’t say, “That’s for younger people.”

I said, “Let’s see what this thing can do.”

That’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made in years.

Too many people decide they’re too old long before they actually are.

Don’t do that to yourself.

You might surprise yourself…

…and somebody else might drop a golf club.

Lessons Learned

  • Your age doesn’t define your potential.
  • Curiosity keeps you young.
  • Learning something new is always worth it.
